Brent Group have sold Hallett Silbermann their wholly owned heavy and general haulage operation to R Swain & Sons Ltd based in Strood near Rochester, Kent.
Hallett Silbermann was established in north west London in 1946 by John Silbermann OBE, former chairman of the Road Haulage Association. It provides a specialist heavy and general haulage operation throughout the UK particularly in the construction industry offering abnormal load movement services and the provision of self-loading crane vehicles.
Hallett Silbermann Ltd will operate within the Special Project Division of R Swain & Sons Ltd. All the staff and assets have transferred across as part of the acquisition, Jon Hugill with 30 years service with Hallett Silbermann Ltd will be the Operational Director and Matthew Swain the Managing Director.
