Going Going Gone

July 2005

This is what happened at the beginning of this month to over 100 loads of contractors plant belonging to the Hewden Group.

The loads were moved from various Hewden plant depots in the south east by Hallett Silbermann in conjunction with motive power consultants Thornycroft. The plant was shipped to the Hertfordshire County Showground in Redbourn near St. Albans in preparation for a large auction being held by Hewden this month to clear a substantial amount of surplus used contractors plant by way of a major fleet disposal.

This transport operation was entrusted to Hallett Silbermann as it required the full utilisation of a large number of plant-carrying low loaders and semi low loaders over a short period of time to ensure all equipment was delivered to the auction site.

As market leaders in the movement of construction equipment, Hallett Silbermann displayed competence and reliability in successfully completing this major logistical exercise with the minimum of fuss.
